“Carpe. Hear it? (whispering) Carpe. Carpe diem. Seize the day boys. Make your lives extraordinary.” – Robin Williams, Dead Poets Society

Decided try and do Robin William’s portrait. Got a pic from one of my favorite movies, Dead Poets Society, and immortalize him through watercolor. I learned something today. Not only do eyeshadow brushes blend makeup – they’re perfect for lifting paint for highlights, blending harsh lines and dry brush painting too.

I also learned that even if I love the fact that watercolor pencils eventually dissolve after being painted on – it is not good when doing portaits. After the 5th layer of paint, the lines were GONE. I panicked.
