Our parents couldn’t help it – they’d compare us to our siblings, our cousins, our neighbors – even to themselves when they were young. At one point in our lives we realize that we have to dare to be ourselves, that we deserve to be happy and live a life that we are excited about. It is something worth remembering once we get to have children too.
It’s something I need to remember everyday.
