Time and again, the songs that would often be a hit among tweeners would be those about friendship, courtship and being your own person. Finding your path in life and following it are two different issues. After one finds out what they want to do in life, pressures from peers and family suddenly become a burden to bear. From dealing with friends who are trying to belong to certain social circles to well-meaning but overbearing parents who just want the best for you and your future, messages can be conflicting that they forget to listen to themselves to please the ones they love.
