Yes, Fr. Benny is one of those humble educators who never fails to inspire. To impart a sense of wonder inside the classroom. His anecdotes would leave you with more questions than answers – but it is ok. That’s where the fun begins, in the quest to find answers he makes you ask more questions.

I am catching up on my own lessons. Painting again. Trying to get better. What makes this portrait different? Undertones. It is difficult to put green under a skin tone without making that person look sick. But this one did have a greenish hue in the photo. Shadows are a mix of brown-blue and brown-red. The latter I think makes the person look more alive. I think the only time I used black is to create the gray for the hair. 🙂
